The Bakery Unlimited

The Bakery Unlimited in Winterset is best known for its delicious donuts and the standout in many opinions is the apple fritter. The Bakery uses Red Delicious apples in their fritters, which ties into Madison County's history of the first Delicious apple being discovered by farmer Jesse Hiatt and sold to Stark Bros Nursery in 1893.

The Bakery Unlimited also placed 3rd in USA Today's Readers' Choice 2025 awards for  10Best Donut Shops in the U.S.!

The Bakery also makes cakes, cookies, bread, dinner rolls, bagels, pies, and more, some by special order. They offer coffee and other beverages.
