Iris Aisle
Iris Aisle is a whimsical, intimate venue + hemp farm located in Madison County Iowa. Our Victorian conservatory is used for many different events and classes and of course, plants.
* Please contact us first before booking. There can be events happening during your stay and/or there may be photographers on the property. We will make sure to let you know in advance if something is scheduled and during what times. This does not mean you have to leave the property.
The space
The Botanist Cabin sits nestled in our cedar tree grove. The cabin is 14x30 with an attached porch, dining table, living room area, coffee bar, and retro fridge with freezer for your use. There is a heat and A/C unit. We have a hot spot if you need to connect to WiFi. Escape to the cabin and nestle up on the green Victorian couch, sipping on our locally roasted coffee or tea, or perhaps enjoy a dinner inside the conservatory!
Enjoy our oversized comfy bedroom loft which makes you feel like you are sleeping in a tree house. It is larger than a king bed and has oversized blankets and pillows. The bed is a pillow top mattress underneath a vintage covering, which might remind you of those hippie days inside of a pleated retro van. * Please note you will have to use the ladder to get into the loft.
Walk through the trails on our property, snuggle in a hammock, hang out in our Victorian conservatory amongst the plants, and use the fire pit area for those chilly nights. Although we do not have a kitchen, treat this space as you would any campground. We have a private grill for your use to cook over or you can cook over the shared fire-pit area.
The bathrooms are located inside the conservatory which are fully tiled and include an open waterfall shower. You will need to walk to the conservatory as it is NOT attached to the cabin. This area can be used by other people on the property.
Madison County is full of hidden gems for hiking, kayaking and exploring. The towns of St. Charles and Winterset are just a few minutes away, should you want to enjoy any of their cute shops, restaurants, or attractions. The Holliwell Covered Bridge is just a half mile down our road and is the last stop for kayaking.
*Note: We have a lotus tent on the property that could also be rented during your stay. It is located on the opposite side of our woods, leaving you with plenty of privacy. You may have to share the fire pit area and bathrooms. PETS ARE WELCOME BUT YOU MUST TELL US IN ADVANCE. Pet Fee is $50 with a max of 2 pets.
